Welcome to A R Casting Inc.- Visit with some of us while we show you the processes we use to make your parts. You'll see how we can provide you the ultimate in quality and cost-effectiveness.
The parts A R Casting produces are made in vulcanized rubber molds like these. Rubber molds
Making a mold Our technicians layout copies of the part to be made on a rubber mold.
The rubber mold is then placed in a vulcanizer. Heat and pressure produce a two-piece mold that perfectly reproduces the items to be cast. Vulcanizing machine
Pouring molten metal The mold is then loaded into the casting machine and molten metal is poured through a hole in the center. Centrifugal force makes the metal flow though all the passages of the mold.
After only a moment, the mold can be removed from the casting machine and the halves separated, and the parts can be removed. Opening molds
Loading tumbler The last step in the production process is tumbling the parts to deburr and polish them. A tub is filled with an appropriate abrasive medium, and the castings are added.

As shown below, either ceramic beads or metal shot are used depending on the desired finish.
